National Day of Prayer and Action around Coronavirus

March 22, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Presidents of CTE are calling Christians to a National Day of Prayer and Action. This is being called this Sunday 22nd March by Presidents of Churches Together in England.

At 7pm today, light a candle in the windows of your homes as a visible symbol of the light of life, Jesus Christ, our source and hope in prayer.

Whether you are continuing to worship as congregations or not, we have the great privilege and freedom to be able to call upon God, wherever we are, individually and corporately, for healing in our nation. We would pray for all in leadership at this time, making decisions about the containment of the COVID-19 virus, for those working in health and social care, and especially for the most vulnerable, whether elderly or those with underlying health conditions.

The statement ‘Light a candle of hope: A national call to prayer’ is now available at www.cte.org.uk/calltoprayer

Please do be encouraged to share this call to prayer on Twitter

Churches Together in Hertfordshire unites in pilgrimage those churches in the area which, acknowledging God’s revelation in Christ, confess the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord according to the Scriptures, and in obedience to God’s will and in the power of the Holy Spirit commit themselves:
To seek a deepening of their communion with Christ and with one another
in the Church, which is his body; and
To fulfil their mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in the world:

To the glory of one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
