Thinking Lunches Sept 18 poster

What needs to go:  the 0.7% to overseas or the overseas development charities?

Matthew Forsyth studied his BA in Theology at Spurgeon’s College and has a passion for social justice and the local church. Matthew grew up in the east Midlands in Stamford where he moved back to recently after taking his new role with All We Can as the church and Volunteers officer. Away from his work at All We Can Matthew is a coffee lover and father to his two children Olivia and Amelia.

The talk is at Marlborough Road Methodist Church, Marlborough Road, St Albans AL1 3XQ

12.30pm to 1.30pm, drink are provided but please bring your own sandwiches!

The charity that Matthew has chosen is, of course, All We Can.  All We Can was formerly known as Methodist Relief and Development Fund.  All We Can helps find solutions to poverty by engaging with local people and organisations in some of the world’s poorest communities to end the suffering caused by inequality and injustice.

Churches Together in Hertfordshire unites in pilgrimage those churches in the area which, acknowledging God’s revelation in Christ, confess the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord according to the Scriptures, and in obedience to God’s will and in the power of the Holy Spirit commit themselves:
To seek a deepening of their communion with Christ and with one another
in the Church, which is his body; and
To fulfil their mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in the world:

To the glory of one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
